With the help of evidence from the keyboard works of team Frederik Chopin, Claude Debussy and J.S.Bach, Pat unmasks to reveal some secrets of musical language and processes.
Drawing particularly on certain Piano Preludes by Chopin, Debussy and Bach, Pat will offer personal perspectives on the ‘stuff’ of music and what makes it tick, how to understand aspects of its language to deepen our response, teasing out composers’ ‘fingerprints’, mapping the ‘plot’ of musical patterns, and tracking the ‘clues’ that help us to listen more deeply.
Standard ticket £15 | Under 18s & Students £5
