What are the seating arrangements at each venue?
Seating in Tonbridge Parish Church is in pews, with artists performing on a slightly raised dais (about 30cms high) at the end of the nave in front of the chancel. Sight lines can be limited. There is additional seating is in the side aisles. If you are bringing a child we suggest bringing a cushion and arriving early to get a seat with good sight lines. Our doors will open 30mins before the start of the concert.
In Big School, Tonbridge School the artists are on a stage at the end of the hall (approx 1.5m high), with the audience in chairs on a flat floor. Very good sight lines.
Is the seating numbered?
No, seating is unreserved. Doors open 30mins before the start of the concert.
Please note: For some concerts we hold special pre-concert events for members. On these occasions members have early access to the concert venue.
Will your venues and events adhere to safeguarding requirements post-Covid19?
Yes, we will respond fully, and on an ongoing basis, to national guidelines.
Can I bring my child?
Our Family Concerts are specifically aimed at primary aged children. They are interactive and accessibly presented – we’ve had dancing in the aisles to Haydn, clapping in 3 parts, and nobody minds if you take a loo break in the middle.
Last season we were pleased to welcome more children to our evening concerts than in previous years.
