Toby Charlton is 10 years old, born in Atlanta, Georgia to British expat parents, and has enjoyed performing since he could toddle. A natural singer, dancer and aspiring actor, Toby had a simple rule for his family from his earliest years: if there was a song to be sung, he was the one singing it!
Having gained experience as an extra on several movie productions in Atlanta, Toby moved to the UK with his sights firmly set on the performing arts. He holds Singing Grade 3, has undertaken voiceover work for ITV and has recently started auditioning for stage and film roles. It was his spellbinding performance of ‘A Million Dreams’ at his school music evening that first brought his voice to wider attention, earning him a Tonbridge Music Club Award in 2025.
Karson Lui is a Year 11 student with a strong passion for music. He has gained orchestral and chamber music experience in both HK and the UK, and has taken on leadership roles in several ensembles, including the Lydian Orchestra, West Kent Youth Orchestra, HK Young Soloist Youth Chamber, and HK Ying Wa School Orchestra and Quartet. He currently serves as a manager of the Lydian Orchestra.
Karson was awarded the Trinity LTCL Diploma with Distinction in 2022. He has been fortunate to receive multiple prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and the Hong Kong International Young Musicians Competition, as well as the Sir Robert Black Fund Scholarship. In 2025, he was honoured to receive the TMC Music Award, the Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys Music Leadership Award, as well as the TWAF PPP Challenge Cup and Townsend Shield.
Eleanor McKenzie-Jones is an English/ Kiwi multi-instrumentalist from Kent. She studied a joint first study course on the violin and trumpet at the Royal College of Music before attending the Royal Academy of Music in September 2025 as a scholarship student under the teaching of Mark David and Joshua Fisher. Initially joining the National Youth Orchestra GB in 2022 as a string leader, Eleanor moved to the role of Principal trumpet from 2023 to 2025, with opportunity to perform orchestral works such as Strauss’ ‘ Alpine Symphony’ and Stravinsky’s ‘Petrushka’, as well as performing at the BBC proms. Eleanor hopes that her studies will take her to a career nurturing both her instruments, and whilst she thoroughly enjoys solo work, her rich orchestral and chamber backgrounds provide fields she is ambitious to become a part of.
James Miotti-Ho is a 14-year-old pianist and aspiring composer. He’s been playing piano since he was 11 and discovered his love for composing last year. He’s working towards Grade 7 piano and picked up the clarinet in January of this year. He is super happy to have received a TMC award last year and is hoping to continue putting his music out there for people to listen to and enjoy.
Francesca Wade began playing the French horn at the age of seven, inspired by its rich and distinctive sound. She enjoys performing with a number of ensembles, including the Kent County Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Local Lydian Orchestra.
Over the past year, she has studied as part of the Young Artists Programme at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she has explored a wide range of musical styles, from chamber music and jazz to brass band and orchestral repertoire. Most recently, she was invited to join the National Youth Horn Ensemble and is excited to continue developing as a young musician.
Clara Zerpa-Falcon is currently a Year 12 student at Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School’s Sixth Form. She began learning the flute with Lucy McIntyre at the age of six, after picking out the instrument while listening to orchestral recordings. She was awarded honours at the Maidstone Young Musician of the year and received distinction in the ABRSM diploma exam in 2025.
Clara plays with the school orchestra and enjoys performing in concerts and also articipating in masterclasses. In her spare time, she loves learning French and is studying for her A-Levels.
